Enjoy Amsterdam from B&B River Garden in Zaandijk

Amsterdam  promisses to be very exciting in 2019. The city will be buzzing with great festivals and celebrations and B&B River Garden in Zaandijk is the perfect starting point. There are several theatre festivals, some of them open air and free. Ofcourse Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum are always worth visiting.

One word of advice: Do book your tickets online and well in advance. It will save you hours of queuing!!!

B&B River Garden with sensational views on ‘Zaanse Schans’ is very close to Amsterdam and your perfect homebase to explore the city. Also Alkmaar cheesemarket, De Keukenhof, the beach and Haarlem are very easy to reach from our house.

In a beautiful old building from 1896, on the banks of the river ‘Zaan’, you will find two very comfortable, spacious rooms. Between the rooms is a landing with a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, watercooker, coffeemachine, cooking essentials and cutlery.

All original details are restoured in the house. In both guestrooms a historic atmosphere is matched with modern comfort.

Because of its rich history, the ‘Zaanstreek’ is very interesting. B&B River Garden is situated in the middle of that history, opposite historic ‘Zaanse Schans’ with views on 7 working windmills. In the close vicinity are several small but interesting musea. A visit to De Keukenhof is very easy from B&B River Garden as it is only 45 minutes by public transport

There are restaurants and cafe’s within walking distance. Further away some gastronomic delights can be found. We will gladly inform you about them.

For lovers of nature, B&B River Garden is also the perfect place to stay. It is a good starting point for walking, biking or canoe-ing. We can provide maps and information.
